Under the EQuALLS project, the U.S.-based Brother’s Brother Foundation (BBF) and the Rotary Club of Makati (RCM) aim to improve the quality of education by increasing the availability of learning materials for students and out-of-school youth in the ARMM and other conflict-affected areas of Mindanao. Providing l.8 million books and materials donated by U.S. publishers over the three-year life of the project, the Books Across the Sea Program works with the Department of Education, DepEd-ARMM, local Rotary Clubs, local government units, and other EQuALLS partners to provide supplementary educational materials in English, math, and science to students, as well as professional development texts for teachers.
