Real World Productions (RWP) is a U.S.-based organization that produces and distributes multi-media educational programs supported by training. Under EQuALLS, RWP is leading the Real World Alliance's project, Improving English Language Teaching and Learning in Mindanao, to enhance English proficiency and English teaching skills in formal and nonformal education. The project provides recorded audio and integrated books supplemented by locally developed lesson plans for elementary Grades 5 and 6, and for the first two years of high school. The Real World Alliance is training teachers on how to use audio to enrich English language teaching in both formal and nonformal settings. Radio station staff are also trained to adapt these materials for broadcasts to audiences in the conflict-affected areas of Mindanao who wish to improve their English language skills.
